What the hell? Powell goes and Cheney stays?

This must be some kind of misprint. Surely the administration would not choose Dick Cheney (does that describe his name or personality?) over Colin Powell would they? Click on the link below to read the story about Powell saying he is the most liberal on the foreign policy team and how he has less influence then Condi Rice, Dick Cheney or Donald "Humvee" Rumsfeld. So let me get this straight, we aren't going to listen to the man who was one of the main architects of the Gulf War instead of cilivians who aren't in the military? Yikes. I think Rice should definitely stay but Dick should be long gone, and Donny is hanging on by a thread. Oh well, not like we are fighting a war right now where his expertise is needed. Oh crap, we are!

New website of the week

This one is a little different. The site I picked was selected because it gives a unique perspective on the war in Iraq (among other things) and it gives you an idea what the people in the region actually get for news. The link is for Aljazeera, the news network of the Arab world. That network is one example of why the gov't should be spending more money and effort to get the truth, not just their side of the story. Check it out for yourself:
